Back Into Blogging

Hey Everybody,
          I suppose I will get back into blogging, it was a fun little distraction. Me and my Fiance have made a new blog for our wedding and engagement stories audreyandjason.wordpress.com. Well as I said before I was going to review all the new 'toys' I got here. I recently (and by recently I mean a few months) got a HTC Sensation, it's a really cool phone, very quick, but like every other HTC the battery dies pretty quickly. Screen has great resolution, very responsive due to the dual core snap dragon 1.2Ghz processor, 756Mb RAM, and 1GB internal storage for apps and whatever else needs to go on the phone itself, unlimited storage for texts, and still very responsive until you get into the 800 text messages region which is awesome. Camera is 10Megapixels which is good enough for taking pictures without making it look like it was taken with a phones camera which is cool. The front facing camera is 2Megapixels good enough for small tasks just nothing that you really need to zoom in for. All in all I'm really happy with it, and my fiance actually just got one for herself too which is pretty cool. We had to get cases for our phones so we didn't mix it up haha. We love the phone though and sure do hope that we will have it for a while.

A little political intrigue

I am not one for politics but the debt ceiling is just out of control, we need to do something about this, and this looks like it would get some attention. Please sign this petition.

You see, I’m not here to compromise.

I came to Washington to fight for our future.

Of course, we need a balanced budget amendment to the constitution, which I and 46 other GOP Senators sponsored earlier this year.

And it starts with my Cut Federal Spending Act (S. 162) to cut our current budget by $500 billion.

That's right, I have introduced a concrete plan to cut half a trillion dollars right now from our bloated, job-killing federal budget.

The first option is the government will raise the debt ceiling and print even more money -- a lot more.

Updates On My Life w/More to come.

New TOYS!!!

I recently have gotten new toys that have been keeping me pretty busy. One of those being a PS3 when it’s not at my girlfriends house. I have several games for that, favorite so far is Ghost-Recon 2: Advanced Warfighter. Awesome game, makes you focus on strategy, getting around corners without getting wholes dotted throughout your body, and working with your other members in your group to make sure they go to the right place and are in the correct firing position and everything to not get pelted themselves. Strategy first person shooter very fun, and realistic.

The other new toy I got…well not necessarily a new toy but another game that has kept me busy is Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty, just plain awesome storyline, graphics are fantastic and the new units and levels are amazingly fresh and nothing like I expected

School

I also enrolled in school which is a hilarious story on its own, but because I haven’t updated in so long I’m trying to catch you all up very quickly. So here’s the story in a nutshell *breaths in deep* A week before school deadline for enrollment I decided I wanted to go to school. So day 1 I file my application, day 2 I do financial aid, day 3 I get my student information filled out the required school information. Then I waited for that to be done, day 7 I selected my classes and I was enrolled in school. That was an adventure.

At the moment I am only enrolled in 1 class HTML, XHTML, and Dynamic HTML is what I’ll be learning about. It’s a good preview into the programming side of computer science which is the degree that I’ll probably end up going for, I want to take a hardware class which will give me the troubleshooting and hardware knowledge side of things. Which is what I originally though I was more interested in, however the programming side is becoming more and more interesting and challenging (which I am loving the challenge and satisfaction of solving a problem). For now I will stick with what I have and see where it takes me.

Girlfriend

The third and most importantly is my new found social and love life. My cute girlfriend and soon to be fiancé and future wife to be who will be referred to as Audgie. I spend a lot of time with her, watching movies, talking, going out to eat, cooking wonderful home cooked meals, and trying to get in as much time with our friends as possible, cause it is so fun to spend time with her. I’ll give a link to her blog when I get one *hint hint* hehe.

I don't know what there is that I can write in this blog to add to this next post. I never did know what the benefits of IPV6 would be, I didn't think it was really possible to run out of ip addresses but i suppose it could happen with as many devices that we have that need IP addresses now. Cell phones, bluetooth devices, laptops, ebook readers, the list goes on and on. Anyway read this awesome story and don't die laughing. ROFL!!

Alright ladies and gents!!

Well, I don't update my blog much...O.K. not at all. Let me just give you a timeline on how my life has gone for the last little bit. I started getting a headache Sunday night, and then it began. It started out as a bit of stomach ache, still had my headache, then I got a sore throat, then a cough, and then a fever all on Monday night, that day sucked, minus my girlfriend taking care of me and being there for comfort :) so lucky to have her around, well needless to say I didn't end up going to work that day. Tuesday was also terrible a continued stomach ache, still had my headache, sore throat, cough, and then a fever of like 101.5 degrees ouch! Well Wednesday I was feeling pretty good so I went out with some friends. Thursday had a cough and sore throat, Friday same thing, and as well as Saturday. Sunday went to take care of my girlfriend who had gotten this sickness from me when she had seen me, it hit her on Saturday, meanwhile at the old homestead my whole family had gotten sick from this and they got taken down on Thursday and most are still down with it. So we come to Monday I started the day off with strep, what a wonderful start, and ended it with headache, strep, cough, and a fever. What a wonderful combination. Tuesday I of course have all those same things, and got to lie around all day in pain trying to swallow. Also note to self do not accidentally swallow salt water with baking soda in it, it makes you puke, all sorts of unhappy things. Come today I go to the dr get a prescription to rid this thing from my body hope it works it’s just some penicillin.

Then besides that, obviously I have gotten a girlfriend and if you read my last post you wouldn’t have been able to tell I would’ve ended up with one eh? Hehe. An amazing woman and I am a very lucky guy.

On another note, I should be turning in my mission papers very soon, it is taking a little bit extra to pay off the debt and has extended my deadline by a bit bishop is aware of the extension and I am not aware of any problems that will cause any problems.

The basement is almost finished which means a renter can come in and pay for use of the basement which will help my family get on track for paying things off and stabilizing the economy. Ha-ha! Well this should provide as a very nice update.

An Update on my life

This is generally short cause I can make it short. First, I applied for a manager position at work, I didn't get it. Second, girls are problematic and cause many feelings, avoid them. Third, I hate my work schedule.

They are actually making me work Halloween, and Thanksgiving. I work for bank of america so i'm not that surprised but it's just plain ridiculous.

Yay!! Life sucks then you die. What you gonna do about it.

Funny!!

I thought i would put this up here seeing as how i thought it was hilarious.

A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan Officer.
She says she's going to Europe on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for
The loan, so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Mercedes Benz SL 500.
The car is parked on the street in front of the bank.
She has the Title, and everything checks out.
The bank agrees to accept the car collateral for the loan.

The loan officer says, 'Miss, we are very happy to have had your
Business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a
Little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire.

What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?'
The blonde replies, 'Where else in New York City can I park my car
For two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?'

AT LAST, a smart blonde joke!

Hi everyone, long time no update eh? hehe, Well, I don't know what to say, refinance didn’t go through screwing over plans for finishing the basement for a few months, and we're going to have to pay another fee for getting the house appraised which the guy said it would be able to go through so in good faith we paid for it and now it can't well that was almost $400 and now it's screwed up our whole financial system and now we've got things getting screwed over all over the place credit cards that we had figured would be fine because they were a month down the road aren't so good anymore. We had to resort to using credit just to survive this month borrowing money and the whole bit it's really irritating. Anyway I s'pose that's basically what I’ve been doing.

On a happier note, I went up to Seattle to see my sister graduate with her master’s degree from Devry college and things are looking up for her, it's really cool. I came back on Friday night hung out with friends, went to work on Saturday and then went camping on Monday night with my friend we'll call him E-Man I don't know that sounds alright for now. That was awesome I love smores. :D

Wednesday is when I found out that we were getting screwed with the refi on the house, I hung out with some friends on Wednesday night and I ended getting upset for no reason with one of the friends for a silly reason. I just hope it all ends up okay.

Thats my life up until now. I'll post another update tomorrow night about the way my mission is going. Til then Auf Wiedersehen

Beat the IRS

I'm sure this isn't exactly what ya'll were expecting as a blog update but, i think its worthy.

The IRS decides to audit Grandpa, and summons him to the IRS office.

The IRS auditor was not surprised when Grandpa showed up with his attorney.

The auditor said, 'Well, sir, you have an extravagant lifestyle and no full-time employment, which you explain by saying that you win money gambling.

I'm not sure the IRS finds that believable.'

I'm a great gambler, and I can prove it,' says Grandpa. 'How about a demonstration?'

The auditor thinks for a moment and said, 'Okay. Go ahead.'

Grandpa says, 'I'll bet you a thousand dollars that I can bite my own eye.'

The auditor thinks a moment and says, 'It's a bet.'

Grandpa removes his glass eye and bites it. The auditor's jaw drops.

Grandpa says, 'Now, I'll bet you two thousand dollars that I can bite my other eye.'

Now the auditor can tell Grandpa isn't blind, so he takes the bet.

Grandpa removes his dentures and bites his good eye. The stunned auditor now realizes he has wagered and lost three grand, with Grandpa's attorney as a witness. He starts to get nervous.

'Want to go double or nothing?' Grandpa asks 'I'll bet you six thousand dollars that I can stand on one side of your desk, and pee into that wastebasket on the other side, and never get a drop anywhere in between.'

The auditor, twice burned, is cautious now, but he looks carefully and decides there's no way this old guy could possibly manage that stunt, so he agrees again.

Grandpa stands beside the desk and unzips his pants, but although he strains mightily, he can't make the stream reach the wastebasket on the other side, so he pretty much urinates all over the auditor's desk.

The auditor leaps with joy, realizing that he has just turned a major loss into a huge win.

But Grandpa's own attorney moans and puts his head in his hands.

Are you okay?' the auditor asks.

'Not really,' says the attorney. 'This morning, when Grandpa told me he'd been summoned for an audit, he bet me twenty-five thousand dollars that he could come in here and pee all over your desk and that you'd be happy about it!'

Don't Mess with Old People!!

Well, I guess I'll update my blog.

Hey everybody, what do I say when it's been so freaking long? Theres not much to say really, I don't do any of that silly stuff like, play scattergories on your blog or something like that. Yea I know i'm boring, but what else can i say. I'm weird, crazy and tall, that last one should explain it all for you. anyway, thats all i care to say, all is well, same old same old, nothing new. ttyl. :)

Confusion, Fear, and Limbo

I've been confused lately, I don't really know what it is that I'm waiting for. I know that I must learn to accept that God can provide and he does provide. Accepting that has been a lot more tough than I thought it would be. Basically I just hope that I can make a breakthrough in this thing we call life so I can move onto what I need to do.

I'm stuck in Limbo, unable to move forward, stuck in time, re-living the past, not wanting to move forward, to afraid to move forward, unsure of what the future holds, too afraid of what the future holds, I know the past I know what I have done, I cannot say the same for the future. I don't know whats going to happen and it scares me.

Well that's my whole soul, I just poured it all out.

My thoughts on the YouTube "censorship"

First, it's not outright censorship they are not remove swear words or prevent people from using them in their videos but instead they are demoting videos for having swear words in them. Why not just have them marked as having vulgarity or sexually themed videos? Instead it's just acting as if the videos don't exist and essentially removing them from lists on the site. They won't do the censorship thing outright but they will basically make them go 'underground'. They could do all sorts of things to make these videos unveiwable by those that don't want to see it.

First make it so the display picture of the video does not include any sexually themed picture of the video.
Second just have it highlight a video or something to mark it as having vulgarity.

Why not do any of that? I just think they're trying to remove the videos that would prevent them from making more money on the site.

Anyway I think its ridiculous the way they are going about this.

I've been thinking about putting up Youtube videos every now and then, but what shall I put in them? any ideas would be welcomed. :)

An UPDATE FINALLY!!

Well, to say the least its been a while. I Can't really say much as to why, I've been too lazy to do any blogging, I've been playing on World of Warcraft till i fall asleep and then waking up and going to work, coming home, playing other games till i fall asleep and then getting up and doing it all over again. I am looking for a new job or a new position at my current place of work as they are closing down my department, and until further notice there are no positions elsewhere so, I've thought about Comcast tech support, which reminds me i have to fill out an application...doing that now...brb...well i found the fruitless, stupid internet and making things complicated. So yes, looking for a new job, hopefully I will be able to apply at comcast and be successful this time and get free internet and full cable tv package. WOOT!!! I don't know what else there is to say except Good luck, let the purples drop, and hopefully let all your die rolls be 20!

An awesome reference

So when I was playing Exalted on Saturday night with some friends we were thinking about what we could do to bribe a 'god' a forest god to be specific, so we offer to put in a good word with the Unconquered Son, effectively the one in power 'The' God. A friend happens to mention that, you don't have that kind of connection with the UC (the unconquered son), my response is "Me and the UC go way back." "We are tight, like this" *Crosses fingers*, "I taught him everything he knows"

Only some of people will get this reference and I think that I will have effectively killed Sam. :) Thanks for reading and perhaps committing suicide by some definitions.

The rest of the basement is cleared out, and now we're going to work on figuring out how we're going to get it and the walk out finished. my hours at work are going back up to 40 a week. haha...maybe if I can get there on time, I might have a decent enough check to pay for things. Unlike Sam I don't have all these witty posts I could put up to make people laugh, I only have real life, which is really sad that people can look at my real life and laugh. We got a ping pong table. :D that's gonna be awesome, got all sorts of things happening hopefully they will happen quickly so I can get back to being lazy I liked that rather a lot. ;) Well that's pretty much it for now, hopefully I'll have more funny for you tomorrow. I'm slacking

I think I need to catch up to Nanti in posts, I am seriously lacking in posts and nobody cares. :( Rofl. But then again although I have a lot more time on the computer than Nanti does it would appear he gets done more than me. Tell me of your secret oh wise and masterful anti-time waster. I must know what you know, teach me master and I will eagerly learn of all your wise and profound knowledge.

There's not much to tell.

We have two thirds of the basement cleared out of all the junk and trash and we are now in the process of finishing that part. My room is finally getting 'real' carpeting in it, i'm excited. My room will be finished, it's going to take forever to get the carpet installed though. All of THREE weeks, that's right I said THREE WEEKS!!! After they measure the carpet, that's still an entire week away. A full month for carpeting to get done, isn't that a little bit ridiculous.

The house is in our name now, we went yesterday to look for cars because the current car is completely crapping out, MPG of upwards 18 Mpg that is also a little bit ridiculous, we're moving up to a much better MPG which should be around low 30's city and mid 30's highway so we're pretty happy about that, I will know tomorrow if we got the car or not.

Now about my mission. I am continuing of course and have a large movement of people looking to get me on my mission. Many people at work, a whole slew of people in my ward and what it would seem an even larger amount of friends eager to find out where I go. There's not much left to do. Just get my bishop to turn the papers in and I'll have a very short time left here. :) That will be an exciting time.

Time flies

Wow, so long time no talk to yea? We sign the house papers tomorrow for the money. Not much that I remember about to tell, but hopefully this is the beginning of a new string of posts. Painting my room, gonna go carpet shopping relatively soon, and we may or may not be finishing the basement for renters i don't know whats going on with that just yet. we also may be getting a walk out on the north side of the house for the renters so they have their own entrance to the house. very interesting. anyway that's about it.

So much

Wow so much to tell. Ok so we moved the appraisal to Monday cause we really did have too much to do. Last night we got the paperwork for the house done and able to get all that finished and get the money to pay off several things. We got the cupboard doors replaced, so now just a little more electrical work to do and the cupboards and the garage and the last wall in the bathroom to be done. My room is primed and now I need carpet and need to paint which I'm trying to figure out what colors I want. I think red, white, and blue. Red and blue walls, white ceiling. Superman/Spider-Man colors, and a white ceiling to reflect the light back down and not make it too dark in the room. It's gonna be exciting when I'm finally finished, as it will be done so soon. :) Anyway that's my rant as far as what I've been up to.

Edit: It would appear that the red/white/blue thing just isn't going to work out as it's truly far too much color and I just don't think it's necessary right now.
